Meet the Eastern Atlantic team

A company built upon reputation must be backed up by personnel who themselves have integrity, experience and knowledge. A company is judged on its quality of service and its performance in which it delivers that service. This is provided by the team behind the scenes as much as those in the spotlight. That team is as follows.

MD & CEO

Simon Oliphant-Hope is the founder and 100% share holder of Eastern Atlantic Helicopters Ltd. Simon is an experienced pilot having over 8,500 hours with a Commercial Pilots Licence, Instrument Rating and a CFI rating. To list just a few great achievements would certainly include long distance ferry flights from America to England, flying around the world in 2001 and 2004 in which he claimed the 'Around the World' and 'New York to London' World Speed Records and as Pierce Brosnan's double in James Bond - Die Another Day.

Sales Director

Frazer Oliphant-Hope is the Sales Director and EAH Base Chief Pilot. Frazer is an experienced Commercial Pilot with a variety of multi-engine ratings and an Instrument Rating. Frazer has a well established carreer in charter flying, long distance ferry flights and maintenance related test flying and evaluation.

Chief Engineer

Simon Willard is the Chief Engineer and Technical Records Manager. Simon has many years' industry experience gained on fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. He has held several key posts, holding positions within well respected maintenance organisations and is factory trained on several types. Simon is also an accomplished fixed wing pilot with warbird flying experience and also joins the Eastern Atlantic club of long distance ferry pilots - just ask him about his trip from northern Denmark back to the UK... in a Piper Cub!

Engineering

Nigel Mills works has some 30 years' engineering experience with a variety of factory courses to his credit. Nigel is a very skilled field engineer and a high quality craftsman and has a particular skill for track and balancing to make the absolute smoothest flying aircraft possible.

Parts Manager

Dave Swain is the Parts Manager and has worked in the sales and procurement of parts for over 35 years in the aviation industry. Dave has excellent experience in dealing with import and export of parts and the associated documentation required. He also ran a CAMO office for some 10 years in a previous role.

Financial Controller

Paul Arkle is the Financial Controller and is the newest member of the team. Paul brings some 35 years of accountancy experience to the business and is a keen enthusiast in the world of Aviation, especially now helicopters!
